It's not a written rule to wear sparkles for NYE, and I'm not one to always go with conformity- but I LOVE the glitz and glam of sparkles. Look for a unique dress that would definitely stand out amongst the crowd. Not into too much? Try a shiny clutch or play up your accessories!
My best friend, Jaime is obsessed with warm chunky crewneck sweaters. She pulls it off really well, and although you may think this trend is left for the grandmas out there...not true! Today is Christmas Eve, and if you're thinking a sweater as a gift from your grandma may be a miss, think again! It can look really adorable (and keep you warm and cozy at the same time). I've been eyeing some while shopping. Here are a few of the best:
Alexander Wang, Opening Ceremony.
Striped Mohair Sweater, Madewell.
I actually bought this sweater in October and have been in love with it since.
This coming season for Fall, I'm realizing the classy and ladylike elements implemented into the accessories. I'm looking forward to a season of bold prints, strappy shoes, and polished pieces...a perfect finish to a great outfit. Some of my favorites include:
Oscar De La Renta
you can't tell me this little old-fashioned camera bag isn't the cutest thing you've ever seen.
For my Creative Fashion Presentations class, we had a fun final project to create a way to showcase new trends. My group decided to work as if we were an upcoming new company called "Flutterbye Fashion" that puts together creative trends shown on the runways, at a low price. We shopped at stores such as Forever 21, H&M, Urban Outfitters and Zara and created how-to videos to implement the Fall 2010 Trends; Animal Print, Soft Utility, Boy Meets Girl, and Grunge. Hope you enjoy the video!
