Fly Away with Feathers

I'm a girl who believes that an outfit isn't complete without accessories. My style usually leans towards jewelry that is bold; cocktail rings, chunky necklaces, chandelier earrings, big watches, or multiple bangles and charm bracelets. Of course, I always end up having to narrow down my choices because wearing all that jewelry together may be all too costume-y. Lately feathers have been a huge trend-I'm seeing there everywhere! They're great and adds an heir of romance, creating a natural bohemian look. Here are some of my favorites:
Cascading Feather Earrings
Urban Outfitters
Navajo Feather Earrings
Urban Outiftters
Carole Feather Necklace
Painted Rock Turquoise and Feather Necklace

TEM Feather Earrings
Alex and Ani
Feather Expandable Wire Bracelet
Saks Fifth Avenue
Maison Martin Margiela Clutch

Color Me Happy.

It's been a LONG two weeks. I wished I had more time to blog but finals took over my life. But now that it's over, here I am. Street style is huge inspiration for me to find what's catching on to be the next trend. So we know that color block has been key this spring. Last weekend at work, I spotted the coolest pair of trousers on a customer. They were just your average skinnys- but in a rich green and rolled up at the hem. I had to know where they were from- she said they're from Zara. Of course, I would have guessed that from walking their sales floor. I love color, especially in the spring and summer time. I just brightens up my day and breaks my usual all black attire. Even though black is truly flattering and easy, we all need a pop of bright in our life, don't you agree?

Meet Me @ Meatpacking

This weekend called for a perfect stroll down the Meatpacking District. But of course, during the time that I went- all the stores were closed! Maybe because it was past midnight, and my dream of stores being open 24 hours wasn't possible. On the bright side, I got to look at all the window displays of many major designers. The visual merchandising of the stores were mostly done very well- appropriate for the cool downtown feel of the Meatpacking District.

Once upon a Royal Wedding.

Lately the most news I've heard involved the Royal Wedding somehow- whether that may be from the New York Times or Perez Hilton. And finally! Friday was the day, or should I say morning- if you were one of the crazies to wake up at 3am East Coast time, you were one of the first to see how beautiful Kate Middleton looked in that amazing McQueen wedding gown. My thoughts about the look altogether? Classy and sophisticated. The long sleeved lace kept it conservative, while the silhouette kept it modern. The front page of WWD today showed many designers' quotes about her wedding look. Seems like a winner choice, Sarah Burton did a beautiful job.

The NY Daily News thinks Kate's look resembles Grace Kelly in 1956. What do you think?
