What a crazy week! Today marks the last day of Spring/Summer NYFW. In a way, it is bittersweet- as the last designers are showing right this minute, the shows will eventually end and my constant runway tweets from WWD would be significantly less. This past Saturday, I attended Lacoste at Lincoln Center. It  was awesome to see so many people in the industry all in one location. The show was interesting...sporty, of course. What's special about this collection is that this season is the first that Felipe Oliveira Baptista designed for the brand. The rugby shirts, blazers, striped polos, and outerwear pieces of both men's and women's all seemed casually cool. I feel that Oliveira did a great job keeping the brand's identity and stayed true to Lacoste. The transition from the neutral in the beginning of the show to the bright pop of colors allowed interest.

On Sunday, I attend the Guishem presentation. It was also located at Lincoln Center. It was nice to see the collection upfront on live models, even though I love the excitement of a runway show. The collection will filled with a bright color palette. Many of the looks could be easy outfits for a night out or a red carpet event. The silky materials allowed for a beautiful sophistication.
