Knit Hat.

Hope everyone had an amazing holiday. The other day I received the most thoughtful gift from my best friend Jaime. She knitted me a beautiful cream beanie hat.

This makes me wish I could knit! Check out her artsy blog, My Still Life.

Last Minute Christmas Shopping!

Two more days until Christmas...do you have all your holiday shopping done yet? Well, here are some easy gift ideas that can save you invaluable time. For women, I usually say that gifting jewelry is a no-brainer. I love loud costume pieces, but of course not everyone has the same taste. In that case, there are always classic conservative pieces. For men, easy items to shop for are iPhone or iPad covers, wallets, ties, or cufflings. Gift items that are great for everyone are scarves, gloves, headphones, perfume/cologne and candles.

Look for unique items in side shops or boutiques. Last week, I got a lot of my shopping done at the outdoor shops outside Bryant Park. I love visiting that time of year. Ornaments or trinkets are one of a kind and thoughtful.

If you are shopping in a department store, most come with complimentary gift wrapping. If you are in a serious rush for time, this could be your savior.

My Week with Marilyn: What She Wore.

Clothing strongly defines a character. After watching a brilliant film My Week with Marilyn, I realized how great costume designer Jill Taylor selected clothing for each scene throughout the film. We followed Marilyn's character from her highs to lows, showing her emotions whether that be proudly singing front and center on stage in a sparkling gown to quietly expressing her thoughts to Colin at home wrapped up in a robe.

It was interesting to actually see the clothing used in the film, these pieces are displayed in the Chelsea Cinemas.
