The adventure of creating an entire collection is pretty remarkable. I've been working at Houghton since the beginning the brand, and seen the growth and success it's been achieving. The sophomore collection consisted of beautiful pieces constructed in New York, embroidered in the UK and beaded in India. This season color was added, (even the logo, notice the neon pink?) but Houghton stayed true to its aesthetic - that tomboy in a dress feel, effortless and cool. The rompers as well as three piece suits tied it all together with feminine long gowns and shorter cocktail dresses. The mix of chantilly laces, painted laces, custom prints, and intricate beading made the collection all the more compelling. I was blown away yesterday, the collection looked amazing against the outside view from The Standard. Designer Katharine Polk worked with Sequin to create stunning jewelry pieces for the collection. The show was sponsored by Milk MADE, hair by L'Oreal Professional, Make up by MAC, and shoes by Michael Antonio.
