The Quintessential Theory

Among the collections that show for a new season, I'm always excited to see what Olivier Theyskens creates next. The Pre-Fall 2013 collection of Theysken's Theory that showed last month included thirty-three pieces infused with that dark, grungy, yet structured design aesthetic that maintains true to the New York label. The looks stirr up my inner want, need and have to have it as the pieces are very much wearable. Separates touch base on just about every category; tanks, short to long sleeved tops and blouses, jumpers, structured blazers, jackets, dresses, skirts, leather pants, shorts. and a few denim pieces thrown in the mix. Solids, subtle prints, and a few muted pops of color keep the interest. Fresh kicks, wedges, and leather boots encountered together nicely. Great for throwing on these ready-to-wear pieces and going downtown. They can be worn in transition from work to dinner easily, and that's what we all need, right? Pre-fall perfection.
