Anything But Cookie Cutter / 'Ceramic' Jewelry

Last week, I ventured to San Juan, Puerto Rico, and stayed at the Marriott Hotel and Resort. As I went out to the pool and beach area, I found a table filled with stars, flowers, shells, and hearts. These were all charms hanging on necklaces, bracelets, and earrings. The designer behind the line, 'Ceramic', is Nilsa, who has been using clay as her main resource along with cotton polyester blended rope as support. Having designed for 30 years, Nilsa never sketches before making her inspiration into beautiful pieces. It is "time consuming" and each piece takes time to create. Her main inspiration? Cookie cutters. Having sold her pieces at The Marriott for the past 10 years and other hotels around Puerto Rico, these pieces are handcrafted and unique - anything but a cookie cutter design!
